Resident Composer/Sound Designer

Rodolfo Ortega is Resident Composer and Sound Designer for Artists Rep. Recent credits here include The Seafarer, Eurydice, Blackbird, A Streetcar Named Desire, Rabbit Hole, The Clean House, House and Garden, Vanya,  Metamorphoses, Assassins (for which he also served as Music Director), The Seagull, Frozen, Bug, and Enchanted April. Miracle Theatre credits include Lorca in a Green Dress (Drammy Award for Composition), Ardiente Paciencia and Elliot, a Soldier’s Fugue. Rodolfo’s sound design work for Profile Theatre includes Lisbon Traviata, Redwood Curtain, Talley’s Folly, and Talley and Sons. Rodolfo has recently received a world premiere production of his and Sarah Jane Hardy’s adaptation of Hansel and Gretel for Northwest Children’s Theatre. Other NWCT credits include Romeo and Juliet, Frankenstein, True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle, The Hobbit, The Diary of Anne Frank, and Sleepy Hollow. Oregon Children’s Theatre credits include Ferdinand the Bull, Charlotte’s Web, Tuck Everlasting (Drammy Award for Composition), BFG, Holes, and Cyrano. Rodolfo received the 2000-2001 Drammy in Sound Design and Composition for a season of outstanding work.
